I've been taking guitar lessons with Poh Hock for about six months, and he has been an incredible teacher. Whether I wanted to focus on rhythm, lead playing, or theory, he always provided top-notch instruction and feedback. Beyond the lessons, he's also an expert in teaching how to practice effectively, which is just as crucial for progress. Thanks to him, I've developed a tension-free technique that allows me to play comfortably and truly enjoy music. Overall, Poh is a fantastic teacher and a great person — an ideal choice for anyone looking to learn or advance their guitar skills.

My kids (11 and 14) have been studying guitar and bass with Zak for 4 years and just formed their first band with Brookline Music Alley this year. I was amazed by their progress and confidence in just one semester! Their first concert was great and we are looking forward to many more.

My daughter loves learning at Brookline Music Alley. Professional musicians support your child as they learn how to play as a band, solve band problems and sharpen communication skills while really using their instrument. I feel like you just can't learn these skills in solo lessons. Added bonus is she's met a group of like minded kids who have fun in this structured yet creative space. Looking forward to hearing them play out soon!
